Islam Karimov accepted condolences from U.S. President George W.
Islam Karimov accepted condolences from U.S. President George W. Bush in a 2 April telephone conversation in which the two leaders discussed the recent string of violent incidents in Uzbekistan, uza.uz reported the same day. Bush stressed that \"the terrorist acts in Uzbekistan are inseparably linked to the chain of crimes committed by international terrorism,\" the news agency reported. (RFE/RL)
