Tajik Transport Minister Abduzhalol Salimov and U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan Richard Hoagland have signed an agreement on U.S. financing of construction of a bridge linking Tajikistan and Afghanistan across the Pyandzh River. The United States agreed in principle last year to finance construction of the Pyandzh Bridge, and U.S. construction specialists have already inspected the site. (Khovar)
