Georgia accused Russian military of shooting at helicopter in Kodori gorge

A Georgian transport helicopter came under fire in Kodori Gorge on Monday. The crew was not hurt. "The fire was opened by Russian and Abkhaz armed formations," presidential envoy in the gorge Emzar Kvitsiani has told the press.
A Georgian transport helicopter came under fire in Kodori Gorge on Monday. The crew was not hurt. "The fire was opened by Russian and Abkhaz armed formations," presidential envoy in the gorge Emzar Kvitsiani has told the press. He said that on Sunday over 100 Russian servicemen and armed Abkhazs in violation of all understandings entered the gorge controlled by the Georgian side. He said that self-defense units in the gorge were mobilized in connection with the incident. (Interfax)
