Svante E. Cornell has been Editor of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst since 2001. He is the Research Director of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute & Silk Road Studies Program Joint Center. His main areas of expertise are security issues, state-building, and transnational crime in Southwest and Central Asia, with a specific focus on the Caucasus. He also has expertise in Turkish and Pakistani politics and foreign policy. Cornell is the author of four books, including Small Nations and Great Powers, the first comprehensive study of the post-Soviet conflicts in the Caucasus, His articles have appeared in journals such as World Politics, the Washington Quarterly, Current History, Journal of Democracy, Europe-Asia Studies, etc. For a full list of publications, please consult his homepage on the Joint Center's website.

Niklas Nilsson is Associate Editor of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst. He is a Research Fellow with the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute & Silk Road Studies Program Joint Center. His specialization is in ethnic relations and energy politics in the Wider Black Sea region, topics on which he has published numerous articles. He holds an M.A. in Political Science from Lund University and has studied Post-Communist Transitions in Eastern Europe at Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration.
